Camp Harenda Zakopane is a year‑round, mountain, nature‑focused campsite in southern Poland, created for motorhomes, caravans, campervans and tents that want real vanlife in nature with an epic view of the Tatra Mountains. You arrive, look around and choose your own spot on the grass or on one of the hardened areas for heavier setups – whatever fits your motorhome, caravan, van or tent best. You will not find tight, numbered pitches here, because there are no pitches at all – it is a large, natural area where you camp more like in real vanlife than on a classic, marked‑out parking lot. There is plenty of open space and greenery, so you can park together with friends, enjoy the mountain views as a group or find a quieter corner with more privacy. All year round you can come with a motorhome, caravan, campervan or tent, or choose guest rooms and wooden cabins on the same grounds – all with private bathrooms – which is a good option if you travel with someone who prefers a classic bed to sleeping in the van, but still wants to stay in the same mountain location with a Tatra view. And because we believe a true mountain getaway includes the whole family, we are a proudly dog‑friendly campsite – so please bring your four‑legged companion along for the journey; we only ask that you let us know in advance at the time of booking that you are travelling with a dog. From the campsite you have a direct view of the Tatras – sunrises, sunsets and changing weather over the peaks are part of everyday life here. A footpath starts directly from the grounds and leads towards Gubałówka hill, from where you can walk down or take the funicular into the centre of Zakopane and then continue to other mountain routes. From the city bus stop by the campsite it is easy to reach the main bus station, where minibuses depart for the most popular hiking trailheads in the Tatra Mountains. You stay close to Zakopane, but not in the noisy city centre, so you have good access to restaurants, shops and attractions while still sleeping in the middle of nature. SURROUNDINGS Within a short walk you have everything you need for several days without driving into the centre: an Orlen petrol station, grocery shop, restaurant, traditional local taverns, café, McDonald’s, ATM, parcel locker and various local services in the Harenda district. Many guests say that after one trip to busy downtown Zakopane they spend the rest of their stay “with us”, because they have Tatra views, peace and all everyday infrastructure practically on their doorstep. This makes Camp Harenda a great choice both as a basecamp for mountain trips and as a relaxed place to stay put and make shorter excursions in the area. FACILITIES AND AMENITIES On site you will find everything people usually look for in a camper service area: a grey‑water disposal point, a chemical toilet dump, fresh water and easy drive‑in access for motorhomes. Facilities include spacious but simple washrooms, coin‑operated hot showers (1 PLN / 1 minute), drinking water points, separate dish‑washing sinks and 48 electricity hookups (5A/10A) in green power boxes located in different parts of the campground. The sanitary block is not a luxury spa, but it is clean, practical and offers enough space to get ready comfortably before or after a day in the mountains. You can connect your van or motorhome to power if you want a bit more comfort, or stay completely off‑grid on one of the more natural parts of the field. There are also hardened spots for bigger motorhomes and heavier combinations, so you do not have to worry about soft ground after rain. The grounds are fenced and accessed through an electric gate operated with a card, with limited car traffic inside, which helps keep evenings calmer and quieter. Around the campsite you will find wooden benches and tables where you can sit down, eat or just hang out when the weather is not perfect, as well as a barbecue area. Fast Wi‑Fi covers most of the site, so you can both relax and work remotely from your camper if you need to. SEASONS AND SKIING Camp Harenda Zakopane is open all year round, so it works well as a base for summer hiking and for winter ski trips. In spring everything wakes up here – the grass turns green, trees and bushes start to blossom and from the campsite you can see how the snow‑covered peaks slowly turn into their softer summer version. In autumn you experience the classic “Golden Polish Autumn”: colourful leaves, lower sun over the mountains and quieter trails, which many guests prefer to the peak holiday season. In winter Harenda is a great base for skiers – the Harenda ski area is only a few hundred metres away, and several other ski stations within the wider ski region are within easy driving distance, so you can plan several days on different slopes.
