Camping El Merino

El Merino is a small, rustic camping and glamping site in the Spanish countryside with very spacious pitches, glamping tents, luxury sanitary facilities and a swimming pool. Far off the beaten track and away from the hustle and bustle, in the beautiful nature of the Sierra de Gata in Extremadura.

Camping el Merino is located in the countryside, surrounded by olive groves and pine forest. On the campsite there are oaks, cork oaks, holm oaks, chestnut, pine and olive trees. So far, about 40 species of birds have been observed at the campsite. Golden oriole, hoopoe and many smaller birds breed on the campsite and red, grey and black kites and vultures are regularly seen. Camping el Merino is especially suitable for campers who want to enjoy nature and tranquillity in an idyllic location. We ask our guests to be considerate of each other, not to play loud music or have the television on loudly. After 23.00 hours we ask you to be quiet and to be absolutely silent from 00.00 hours until 8.00 hours the following morning. Please note that the sanitary building, the reception and the swimming pool are located in a higher part of the campsite, accessible by steps. Camping el Merino is easily accessible from the EX-205 at km 45,5. At the entrance to the campsite there is a car park where you can park your car/motorhome on arrival and walk to the blue reception building. The reception is open from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm and from 5.00 pm to 9.00 pm.
